Doris Myers

Doris Myers age 84 of Homewood Lane Lexington passed away Friday at her home. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a lifelong member with Rev. Jim Groome officiating. Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church chapel from 1:00 until 2:45 pm Wednesday prior to the service. Doris was born in Davidson County on October 29, 1929 to Lee and Lillian Duvelle Gibson Myers. She was a retired employee of Western Electric. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Grace Butler, Carolyn McClannan and Rachel Taylor; brothers, Leland, Victor, Donald, Harold, Clifford and Carey Myers. Doris is survived by; her brother, Roland Myers and wife Lala of Clover, SC; sister-in-laws, Janet Myers and Shelba Myers; brother-in-law, Grady Butler; Numerous nieces and nephews.
