Doris Swicegood Parnell

Doris Swicegood Parnell age 91 of South Highway 150, Tyro community passed away Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

Due to the pandemic no services are scheduled at this time.

Doris was born in Davidson County December 10, 1929 to Enos Boyd Swicegood and Blanche Swicegood Swicegood. She was a homemaker; a member of Tyro United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Graham and Jesse Swicegood.

Surviving are her loving husband of 70 years, James Boyd Parnell; daughters, Vicky Mock and husband Freddie, Jan Pickett and husband Cliff all of Lexington; grandsons, Joseph Pickett and Jacob Mock and wife Katie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC  27295.
