Doris Partin Smith

Doris Partin Smith, age 73 of Brookstone Retirement Center passed away Friday April 5, 2019 at Lexington Health Care after several years of declining health.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Grainger officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday night.

Doris was born in Chenoa County, Kentucky on February 18, 1946 to T.W. Partin and Mildred Everhart Partin. She was a member of Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church and a retired employee of Stanley Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Tammie, Rose, Rachel and Rebecca Carpenter and a great-great-grandchild, Nisiah Cade.

Surviving are her daughter, Robin Grainger (Don) of Lexington; sons, Larry Randall Carpenter of Greensboro and Thomas Wayne Carpenter (Pam) of Lexington; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Cook of Lexington and Gertrude Leach of Newcomb, Kentucky; brothers, Clyde Partin and Garry Partin (Patricia) all of Lexington
