Doris Viola Myers

Doris “Susie” Viola Myers 68 of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday afternoon November 20, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Lexington, NC on Wednesday, November 23, with Jerry Mathis and Jack Hutchens officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Susie was born on August 31, 1943 in Forsyth County to Harvey Odell and Bessie Speace Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Kevin Shawn Martin who passed away on June 10, 2005. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband Robert Myers of the home; two daughters, Ginger Mendenhall and husband Landon of Winston-Salem, Sherri Myers of Daytona Beach Florida and companion Van McNeill; two brothers, Raymond Myers and wife Jean, Roger Myers and wife Tammy; two grandchildren, Josh Schaible and Kasie Skidmore and one great-grandchild, McKinlie Sage Skidmore. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cancer Services, 3175 Maplewood Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
