Mrs. Young was born February 3, 1927, in Davidson County, to Charles Allison Wade Sr. and Ida Mae Richardson Wade. She was a retired operator from Lexington Telephone Company; a member of Memorial United Church of Christ, where she shared how very talented she was playing the piano and organ. She was also a greeter at Walmart and showed her love for animals by rescuing as many as she could. Our mother enjoyed sewing and arranging flowers. She will be missed most by her loving children who would describe her as a wonderful mother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Major Bruce Jones; brother, Charles Allison Wade Jr.; and sister, Lillie Wade Hedrick.
Surviving are her husband, Wilson Smith Young of the home; son, Terry B. Jones and wife, Cherry, of Denton; daughters, Teresa J. Sink and husband, Steve, of Linwood, and Trudy J. Smith and husband, Andrew, of Liberty; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
