Dorise Billings Myers

Dorise Billings Myers, 78, of Arvil Hunt Road, died suddenly Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.   The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Friendship United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Patrick Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no public visitation.   Mrs. Myers was born April 26, 1933, in Alleghany County, to Floyd James Billings and Sadie Crouse Billings. She was a former inspector at Duracell Battery. At her church she was a member of the Friendship Sunday school class.   Surviving are her husband, Calvin Austin Myers of the home; sons, Terry Myers and wife, Roslyn, of Lexington, and Hugh Myers and wife, Debbie, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Candice Myers and husband, Chris, and Cody Myers; great-grandchildren, Caton Clark and Cutler Stewart.   Memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 2840 Friendship Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
