Dorothy Everhart Byerly, age 89 of Oak Avenue, Lexington died Thursday night in Lexington Health Care. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Second United Church of Christ Conducted by Rev. Jerry Moore and burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Byerly was born in Davidson County July 13, 1917 to Hamilton Lafette Everhart and Fannie Louise Crotts Everhart. She was retired from Mother and Daughter Beauty Shop and a former employee of Erlanger Mills. A member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ and the Rebecca Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Andrea Louise Byerly and husband Willie Cathell Byerly who died October 23, 2000, brothers: Ray, Paul, Seaford, Jason, Bill and Bruce Everhart and sister Leo Lippard. Surviving Are: Sons; Dwayne Byerly and wife Kay and Bruce Byerly, Sr. and wife Lynn all of Lexington, daughters; Erlene Byerly Crotts and husband Raymond and Judy Byerly Charles and husband George all of Lexington, sister; Gladys Hedrick of Lexington; sister in laws; Margot Everhart and Mary Everhart both of Lexington; 14 Grandchildren; Bruce Byerly, Jr., Shane Byerly, Chris Byerly, Mark Byerly, Kelly Coppley, Michael Byerly, Malcolm Skipper, Beverley Worley, Lori Thompson, Duke Skipper, Paula Shrum, Andrea Barringer, Jamie Charles and Jodi Hernandez; 24 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren The family will receive friends 6 until 8 pm Sunday night at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington and at other times at the home.
