Dorothy “Dot” Brown Hill, 87, of Lexington, was surrounded by her family as she went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2024 at Hinkle Hospice in Lexington.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date by the family.
Dorothy was born March 11, 1936, in Davie County, to the late Wesley Brown and Bessie Ezora Brown (Brindle). She attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lexington. She was passionate about her love for Jesus Christ and remained faithful in her praise, even in her time of suffering.
Dorothy spent her life serving others working as a waitress and taking care of her family. She was affectionately called “Granny” by everyone that knew her. She adored her family and loved them endlessly and unconditionally, especially her great grandsons!
Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, who will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Brown, William Brown, Wesley Brindle, and Larry Brindle, her sisters, Betty Crotts, and Anna Mae Brown.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Tracey Wyatt of the home, granddaughter, Ashlea Speer and husband Scottie, great grandchildren, Caden Speer, Jaxten Speer and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
