Dorothy Potts Greer, 86, of Conrad Street Lexington, died Thursday August 13, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015, at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home.
Mrs. Greer was born September 2, 1928, in Davidson County, to Ernest Potts and Ida Harvey Potts. She was employed at Lexington Furniture Industries in the Packing Room prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette James Greer; and a daughter, Tamra Benson.
Surviving are son, Billy Greer and wife Alice of Lexington; daughter, Carol Callahan of High Point; grandchildren, Chad Callahan of King, Christy Callahan of Thomasville, Troy Suginaka of Lexington, Reid Greer of Maryland and Kari Greer; and great-grandchildren, Eleanor Greer, Sammy Greer, Austin Callahan, Eli Greer, and Tyler Rayburn.
