Dorothy Chessher Hege

Dorothy Chessher Hege, 85 passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Winston-Salem, NC. A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Dorothy was born in Crestview, FL on July 8, 1931 to Jesse Albert Chessher, Jr. and Flora Esther Barrow Stewart Chessher. She was one of twelve siblings including brothers: Durant, Ab, Jesse Osborn, Calvin and Malone; and sisters: Lucille, Jane, Eunice, Adeline, Nancy B. and Viola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Hege and daughter, Ava Gail Hege. Dorothy was an avid gardener, and loved to sew and quilt for her family and friends. She was a loving Granny to all. Surviving is one daughter, Rita Hege Reynolds (Warren) of Winston-Salem, grandchildren, Warren Reynolds II, Andrew Reynolds, Sam Reynolds and Azilee Reynolds.
