Dorothy Hine Hill

Dorothy Nell Hine Hill age 78 died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Hinkle Hospice House. A memorial service will be held 7:45 p.m. Friday December 20, 2013 at Midway United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. John Woods. Visitation will be held 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. prior to the service. Dorothy was born in Davidson County on August 24, 1935 to Charlie Richardson Hine and Hattie Estelle Crater Hine. She had worked at Wake Forest Baptist Health in the Optometrist dept. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur Evan Hill, Jr.; son, Evan Hill, III; a brother Dallas Hine; sisters, Mary Lash, Kathleen Everhart, and Faith Hill. Surviving are sons, Tim Hill (Donna) of Lexington, Dwayne Hill (Melissa) of Thomasville; sister, Alta Everhart of Lexington; two grandchildren, Nicole Goode and Amanda Hill, Three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah , Wyatt and Cadence; two step grandsons, Andy and Sam Mills and her extended family, Steve and Rita Tucker and family, and very special friend Terry Nifong and Family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Midway United Methodist Church, 9795 Old Highway 52 South, Lexington, NC 27295 or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
