Dorothy Huck Bates

Dorothy Huck Bates, 89, of East Old Highway 64, died September 7, 2009, at Lexington Health Care. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness’s with George Hurd officiating. Mrs. Bates was born May 15, 1920, in Jefferson County, NY, to Merton Huck and Ruby Dodge Huck. She was a former employee at Kodak where she developed film. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Bates Sr.; two sister, Aldene Buckley, and Gladys Buckley; and a brother, Albert Huck Surviving are her son, Carl B. Bates Jr. of Florida; five grandchildren, Michael Bates, David Bates, Kenneth Bates, Michelle Dunning, and Brenda Mancari; and several great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation.
