Dorothy Elizabeth Kearns

Dorothy Elizabeth Kearns, age 84 of Glendale Road, Lexington passed away Friday night June 5, 2015 at her home. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday (June 13, 2015) at Silver Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Little officiating. Burial was at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence. Dorothy was born in Andrews, NC August 28, 1930 to Fred and Mary Ann Garren Parker. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of Silver Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold, Charles and Donald Parker. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, G.L. Kearns of the home; sons, Tim Kearns and Van Kearns and wife Debra of Lexington; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jared, Terilyn and Kristen Kearns; brother, Gerald Parker and wife Lois of Marble, NC.
