Dorothy Hedrick Leonard

Dorothy Alice Hedrick Leonard, 89, of Rowe Road in Lexington, died Friday July 11, 2014, at her home after a brief illness. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Bruce Morasco officiating services. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 Tuesday, just prior to the service. Ms. Leonard was born October 2, 1924, in Davidson County to James Franklin Hedrick and Anna Varner Hedrick. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. After retiring from United Furniture, She was employed with the Lexington YMCA. She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Celia Ann Jordon and a brother Olin Hedrick Surviving is a son, Rick D. Leonard of Melbourne Florida, a daughter Judy Flinchum of Myrtle Beach, and a granddaughter Lori Jordon and husband Keith of Lexington.
