Dorothy Gigliotti Mason

Dorothy Gigliotti Mason of Trinity Glen Nursing Home passed away peacefully Thursday, November 15, 2012 after an extended battle with Alzheimers. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Father Al Gondek officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Dorothy was born June 13, 1921 in North Adams, MA and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, William R. Mason in October, 2000. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Dorothy is survived by two brothers, Roger Pedercini of Williamstown, MA, and Ronald Pedercini of Corry, PA; two sons, William Mason and his wife Sally of Tallahassee, FL, Stephen Mason and his wife Patricia of Athens, GA; and a daughter, Barbara of Clemmons, NC. Dorothy was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed crafts, and was a life-long walker. She is a former communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Lexington, NC. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
