Dorothy Myers Myers

Dorothy Myers Myers, age 96 of Carolina House formerly of North NC Highway 150, Lexington passed away Thursday morning (October 7, 2010) at Hinkle Hospice House.  Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday (October 9, 2010) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Medlin, Rev. Robert Myers and Rev. Joe Myers officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service.   Mrs. Myers was born in Davidson County July 11, 1914, to J.W. Myers and Anna Snider Myers.  She was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church and a retired employee of Lexington Furniture.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cicero Ellis Myers, in 1956, two sons, Ellis and Tony Myers; two sisters, Nona McMahan and Elsie Charles; and three brothers, Thurmond, Frank and Jack Myers.   Surviving are, one daughter, Dotty Medlin and husband Tony of Wingate, NC; two sons, Robert Myers and wife Hope of Orlando, FL and Joe Myers and wife Jean of Mesa, AZ, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Nannie Sue Blaylock of Rocky Mount,  Zella Hege and Virginia Shoaf both of Lexington and Lena Byerly of Wingate; one brother Graham Myers of Lexington.   In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292.       Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
