Dorothy B. Reynolds

Dorothy Bates Reynolds, age 87, of Lexington passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Alston Brook Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be held at the Lexington City Cemetery at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 8, 2018 with the Rev. J. Dwight Cartner officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Reynolds was born in Davidson County on February 19, 1931 to Charles R. Bates and Lola Bates. She was a retired librarian, having worked at the Davidson County Public Library as well as Lexington City Schools. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Reynolds; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her loving daughter, Sandee Sheets (Eddie) of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Stephen Sheets, Matthew Sheets (Jenna) and Paulina Sheets; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Sheets and Logan Sheets and their mother, Wendy Koontz, and Sutton and Emmett Sheets.
