Dorothy Miller Rummage-Davis, 85, of Mt. Carmel Church Road, died Monday, September 9, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Revs. Bruce Morasco and Sam Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at their respective homes.
Mrs. Rummage-Davis was born September 19, 1927, in Davie County, to Lloyd E. Miller and Eva Elizabeth Sidden Miller. She was an assembler at FabMaster prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Davis in 2008 and her first husband, Arthur Martin Rummage in 1966; brothers, Ed Miller and Grady Miller; and sisters, Ora Temple, Ila Gobble, Charlotte Boger, Ruth and Truth Miller.
Surviving are sons, Don Edwin Rummage and wife Pansy and Ronnie Dean Rummage and wife Wanda, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Marty Rummage and wife Angelia, Dustin Rummage, Shannon Rummage and wife Kathy, and Robby Rummage and wife Wende; great-grandchildren, Joshua Rummage, Kyle Rummage, Ethan Rummage, Kailyn Rummage, and Ella Kate Rummage; and a sister, Jeanette Shoaf.
