Dorothy Summers

Dorothy Roseberry Summers, age 86 of Brookstone Retirement Center, Lexington died Monday, January 11, 2010 in Lexington Memorial Hospital. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 15, 2010 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Rev. Bud Powell offficating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, just prior to the service. Mrs. Summers was born December 7, 1923 in Pulaski, VA to John Peyton Rosebery and Ida Ayers Roseberry. She was a retired employee of PPG Industries and was a member of Family Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Eugene Summers in 1980, a son, Jerry Andrews and a four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are sons, Gary Andrews, Connie Duncan and wife, Shirley all of Lexington; William Duncan and wife Diane of Jonesville, NC and Anthony Summers of Thomasville; daughters, Patricia Dunnivant and husband, Jack of Dublin, VA, Kathryn Montgomery and husband, Lewis of Mooresville, NC; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a brother, Howard Roseberry of Lexington.
