Dorothy Gail Hill “Dot” Tysinger, 68, loving wife and mother, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, following an extended illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor Wade “Bud” Powell officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016, and other times at the home.
Mrs. Tysinger was born August 21, 1947, in Rowan County, to the Rev. Harmon Lindsay Hill and Ella Janet Allen Hill. She was self-employed as a hairstylist prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Sherman Hill and Claude Hill; and sisters, Nona Conrad and Mariam Vanhoy.
Surviving are her loving husband, Autry Ray Tysinger Sr. of the home; son, Autry Ray Tysinger Jr. and wife Donna of Lexington; brothers, Dan Hill and wife Ann and Thurman Hill and wife Thelma, all of Lexington; sister, Hilda Surratt of Lexington; sister-in-law, Debra Hill of Trinity; and her canine companion, Taz of the home.
