Dorothy Willitts

Dorothy Smith Willitts, 93, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025.

Born on May 15, 1932, in New Jersey, Dorothy was the daughter of the late John Westley Smith and Myrtle Doxsey Gaskill. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Dorothy’s life was marked by quiet strength, deep love for her family, and a resilient spirit that carried her through both joy and sorrow.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Morris Edward Willitts; her parents; her sons, Morris Willitts and Ernest Willitts; and her daughter, Dorothy Hinkle.

Dorothy leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughters, Stella Huffman and Judy Crotts, and her sons, John Willitts and Jimmy Willitts. Her legacy lives on through them and the many lives she touched over the years.

In accordance with her wishes, services for Dorothy will be held privately.

Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered love and support during this time.
