Dot Davis

Mrs. Dorothy Wilson Davis, 98, of NC Highway 150 South, died Wednesday, October 24 at her home after declining health. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 26 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ray Nance Howell IV. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis was born April 18, 1914 in Davidson County to Ira Odell Wilson and Pearl Feezor Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of Churchland Baptist Church. Her husband, Foy Adolphus Davis, and her son, Foy Lee Davis, Sr., preceded her in death, as well as her brothers, Baxter Coy Wilson, Holland Wilson, and Dick Wilson; and her sister, Nadine W. Newsome. She is survived by her grandchildren, Foy Lee Davis, Jr. and Ronda D. Rabon and husband, Kevin, both of Lexington; her sister, Margaret Davis, of Liberty and her great grandchildren, Henry A. Davis, Jordyn Davis, Justin Rabon, and Elizabeth McBriant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Churchland Baptist Church, 7516 NC Highway 150 South, Lexington NC 27295 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
