Dottie Puckett Hopkins

Dottie Jean Puckett Hopkins, 89, of Lexington passed away October 10, 2024 at Hinkle House Hospice.

A graveside service to be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Forest Hill Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Pablo Ayllon and Dempsey Essick.

Visitation will follow after the service in the cemetery.

Dottie was born June 6, 1935 in Patrick County Virginia to George Puckett Jr. and Rosa Lee Dalton Puckett. She retired from Country Hearth Inn as a manager.  Dottie was a member of Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Earley Rufus Hopkins, Jr., their son, Kenneth Wayne Hopkins, their daughter, Brenda Brogdon, her brothers; Frank and Glen Puckett, son-in-law, Ray Dull, and brother-in-laws; John Jarrell and Jim Schwalbach. and sister-in-law, Margaret Puckett.

Left to cherish her memories is her son, William Hopkins (Michelle), her daughters; Cheryl Dull and Carolyn Brockman (Jerry), son-in-law, Robert Brogdon, her brother, Rabbit Puckett, sisters; Crystal Harris (Mavin), Betty Jarrell, and Arlene Schwalbach, sister-in-law, Lorna Puckett, Nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 15 step great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of Davidson County; 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
