Douglas Forrester

Douglas Garrett Forrester, 79, of Lexington (formerly of Marion) passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Atrium Health, Lexington Medical Center.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Forrester was born in Woodruff, SC on January 23, 1943, to Hendrix Forrester and Vera Garrett Forrester. He was a retired from the McDowell County Schools and was a loving father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dexter Forrester; and two sisters, Cebelle Forrester Pipes, and Martha Forrester Bush.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Anthony “Tony” Scott Forrester (Lisa); a sister, Dottie Forrester Cooper; and his granddaughter, Matai Suzanne Forrester (Ethan Lamberth).
