Douglas Will Stewart age 79 of Winston Salem went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, August 20, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. The body will lie in state Saturday, August 28, 2021, 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Faith Church. The family will not be present. A private graveside service will be at Faith Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Michael Gates.
Douglas was born June 17, 1942 in Davidson County to Caleb Gray Stewart and Alta Everhart Stewart. He was owner and operator of S&S Auto Parts and was a member of Faith Church. His parents, sisters, Brenda Robinson, Yvonne Beck, and a brother, Terry Stewart all preceded him in death.
Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia “Pat" Adams Stewart of the home. His son, Doug Stewart, Jr., his daughters, Leigh Foltz (Ronnie) of Winston Salem, Shelia Cook (Ronald) of King, and Cindy Heath (Wayne) of Hope Mills. His brothers, Johnny Stewart of Winston-Salem and Rev. Arkon Stewart of Winston-Salem. His sister, Jeannie Tuberville (Elary) of Winston-Salem and a sister-in-law, Brenda Stewart of Winston-Salem. Mr. Stewart has 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
