Doyle James Watts, 69, of Meadow Drive, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at his home, following an extended illness.
The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Common Ground Outreach Ministries with the memorial service to follow. The family will also receive friends at the home.
Mr. Watts was born August 15, 1940, in Poke County, Tenn., to Fred Watts and Hollis Denton Watts. He was a retired cab driver from Red Bird Cab Company and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are sons, Curtis Watts Sr. of Thomasville and James Watts of Raleigh; daughters, Tanya Watts and Teresa Brewer, both of Lexington; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dennis Watts and wife, Linda, of Lexington.
