Dr. Hildreth Floyd (H.F.) Wilkins Jr., 75, of Mason Knoll Drive, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at the N.C. Special Care Center in Wilson. The funeral will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Ken Harris. Entombment will be at Parklawn Memorial Park. Dr. Wilkins was born on March 3, 1932, to the late Hildreth Floyd Wilkins Sr. and Lottie Ruth Lemons Wilkins. He was a dentist for 42 years, serving in Lexington and Midway. He attended First Assembly of God in Winston-Salem and was a member of the Lexington Civitan Club. He had a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Al Wilkins; and one sister, Dorothy Robertson. Surviving are two daughters, Jill Wilkins Walker and her husband, Alan, of Winston-Salem and Debrah Wilkins Ilderton and her husband, Thomas C. Ilderton III, of High Point; four grandchildren, Thomas Carey Ilderton IV and Madeleine Ilderton of High Point and Olivia Walker and Melanie Walker of Winston-Salem; one brother, Leonard Wilkins of Winston-Salem; and one sister, Tina Bently of California. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association Piedmont Tried/NC Chapter, 1315 Ashleybrook Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
