Dreisa Ann Barnette Lefler

Dreisa Ann Barnette Lefler was promoted to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Grayson Creek Assisted Living in Welcome, NC. She had fought a long condition of congestive heart failure. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Faith Church with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church from 2 to 3 PM prior to the service. She was born on September 20th, 1937 to Mary Catherine Broadway and Bristol Barnette. Dreisa was a faithful member of Faith Church. She had worked many years at Hunters Publishing Company in Winston-Salem, and then worked until her retirement at Davidson County business tax listing department in Lexington, NC. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tammie L. Willard (Andy) and Debbie Pugh (Mike); husband, Doyle Lefler; granddaughters, Ashley Phillips (Mike) and Emily Willard; her great-granddaughters, Reagan and Eleanor Phillips; her loving brother, Michael Barnette (Alice); several nieces and nephews; cousins that she shared many adventures with Barbara Ann Carter (Jimmy), Joyce Comerford (Tom) and Judy Hoskins (Bob) and a sister of the heart Lou May. So many thanks to the friends and neighbors that brightened her days with love and generosity. Also, many thanks to the doctors, nurses and health care professionals that showed love and kindness to mom, and treated her with dignity and grace. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
