Duane B. Mode

Duane Buren Mode, 38, of W. Old Highway 64 died Thursday, September 6, 2007, at his home, after a sudden illness. Duane was born April 20, 1969 to Albert B. Mode and Brenda Jones Mode Gathings. He was a graduate of Stoner Thomas School, and was formerly employed by Winn Dixie Food Stores. Duane was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, September 11, in Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Steve Brooks officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Duane is survived by his brother David Mode and wife Lora ; his stepfather Jim Gathings and wife Jeannie; his maternal grandmother Sula Jones; nieces Emily and Caitlin Mode all of Lexington ; and several Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday September 10, at Davidson Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his stepfather on Old Hwy 64 West, and at David’s home on Helmstetler Road.
