Dwayne Kenneth “Dew” McMahan, age 30 of Roosevelt Lane, Lexington died Friday evening from injuries received from an motorcycle accident. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday (06/17/2008) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tim Gainey and burial will follow in East End Baptist Church Cemetery. Dwayne was born in Arlington, Virginia March 2, 1978 to Wade Jeffery McMahan and Cathrine Floyd McMahan. He was a graduate of Central Davidson High School Class of 1997, former employee of Keith’s Classic Auto Restoration and was employed with Blue Ridge Hatchery in Kernersville. He was preceded in death by his father Wade Jeffery McMahan, Paternal grandfather; Robert P. McMahan, and Maternal Grandfather; Roosevelt Floyd. Surviving are; his mother and Step-Father; Cathrine “Kathy” Cope and James “Pete”Cope of Lexington, one sister; Heather Thorne of Lexington, niece; CoraLee Thorne of Lexington, Paternal Grandmother; Evelyn Perdue McMahan, Maternal Grandmother; Frances Floyd both of Lexington, Step Brother; Buddy Michaels and wife Angie of Lexington and Step Sister; Jennifer Everhart and husband Randy of Lexington. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Monday night from 6 until 8 pm.
