Louis Dwight Wrenn, 73, of Crow Creek Drive, Lexington, died Saturday at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Leonard. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Wrenn was born October 9, 1933 in Davidson County to Obe Lee Wrenn and Maudie Surratt Wrenn. He retired from the City of Lexington in 1986 and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Second United Church of Christ and was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Wrenn, and his sisters: Willie Mae Hartley, Lena Lemly, and Daisy Fritts.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Everhart Wrenn, of the home; his sisters: Betty Beck, and husband, David, and Mildred Lemly, both of Lexington; his sister in laws: Shirley Haas, and Rusty Louia, both of Lexington; his special friends, Dorothy and Billy Sanders of Lexington; and his best little friend, his dog, Buddy.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
