Earl Quincey Williams, 77, of Redwine Road, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at High Point Regional Hospital. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at the funeral home. Mr. Williams was born February 24, 1933, in Avery County, to Quincey Garfield Williams and Rosa Pennington Williams. He was a fixer at Parkdale Mills and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Kaye Williams and a stepson, Ricky Britt. Surviving are his wife, Martha Lee Williams of the home; sons, Kennith Williams and wife, Shelia, of Linwood; stepson, Gene Britt of Linwood; daughters, Terri Curry, Cheryl Sholtz and husband, Olen, all of Lexington, and Christy Williams of Linwood; stepdaughters, Debbie Presnell and Tammy Fitzgerald, both of Linwood; daughter-in-law, Dreama Britt; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Williams of Mountain City, Tn.; and sisters, Mary Childers of Jefferson; Ettie Jane Reece and Marie Osborne, both of Mountain City. Tn.
