Earlene Paige Hanes

Earlene Paige Hanes, age 84 of Hanes Acres, Lexington passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at her home.  Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, January 5 at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Fulk officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 4.  Earlene was born in Davidson County, May 13, 1932 to Robert Paige and Rebecca Annie Hooker Paige. She was a homemaker and a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Lee Hanes in 2010.  Surviving are her sons, Steve Hanes and wife Carolyn, Ricky Hanes and wife Wanda, Jeff Hanes and wife Peggy, all of Lexington; daughter, Gina Hanes Russell and husband Albert of Lexington; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Johnny Paige and Bobby Paige, both of Lexington; and sisters, Joan Everhart, Linda Henderson and husband, Norman, and Joyce Williams and husband, Steve, all of Lexington. She is also leaving behind her loyal pet and companion Princess  The family would like to thank Hospice of Davidson County for all the support shown to Mrs. Hanes and our family with special recognition to her caretaker, Brenda Walser.  In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292.
