Earlie Musgrave

Earlie Eugene Musgrave, 86, of Island View Drive, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by Slade Blend and Kevin Killian. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Musgrave was born May 25, 1921, in Davidson County to Carl Samuel Musgrave and Iler Beck Musgrave. He retired from ITT Grinnell after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Michael Musgrave; his second wife, Emily Stringfellow Musgrave; a brother, Roby Musgrave; and two sisters, Ethel Wrenn and Evelyn Stephens. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Ferguson Musgrave of the home; his sons, Roger Eugene Musgrave and his wife, Judy, of Mocksville and Steven Michael Musgrave and his wife, Sherrie, of Welcome; his daughters, Carole Jean Sorrell and her husband, Guy, of Charlotte and Nancy Edna Wheelock and her husband, Jerry, of Welcome; a brother, Eddie Beacom Musgrave of Welcome; a sister, Ella Iler Musgrave of Welcome; his grandchildren, April Christley, Angie Taylor, Justin, Jason and Gordon Wheelock, Amber Gragg, Justin Blackburn and Heather Walsworth; 10 great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Bea Ferguson; his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Ferguson and Ronnie Ferguson and his wife, Debbie; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Smith and her husband, Joe, Betty Griggs and her husband, Don, and Janet Goble and her husband, Dale; and his dog, Tippy, who was his faithful friend and companion. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O.
