Earnest Woodrow "Woody" Nalley Jr., a beloved member of the Lexington community, passed away on July 29, 2024, at Atrium Health-High Point Medical Center. He was born on October 3, 1951, in Guilford County, NC, to Earnest Woodrow "Rod" Nalley Sr. and Betty Louise Durham Nalley. Woody started his work in furniture but dedicated his career to High Point Auto Salvage.
Woody was a proud member of AmVets #13 in Lexington and found joy in various hobbies such as golf, horseshoes, pool, and cards. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Marguerite Byerly Nalley, his daughters Joanne Nalley Reid and Rebecca Nalley Hyatt, stepsons Kirk Harrison and Jeff Harrison, grandchildren Brandon Leonard, Austyn Leonard, Sophie Reid, Alazae Hyatt, Jacob Bennett, Jaxon Tincher, and Aaliyah Bennett. He is also survived by his sisters Lynne Craddock, Barbara Shelly, and Lorie Blackmon, along with several nieces, nephews, and cherished furbabies Mikey, Sissy, and Peppie. Woody was preceded in death by his brother Gilbert Nalley.
A service to honor Mr. Nalley will be held Friday, 4:00pm August 2, 2024 at Davidson Funeral Home with a visitation of family and friends starting at 3:00pm.
