Ed Leonard, Jr.

Curtis Edwin Leonard, Jr, 66, of NC Hwy 8, died Saturday, June 17 at Atrium Health in Concord.

A funeral service will be held at 12pm Thursday, June 22 at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, by the Rev. Daniel Downing.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Leonard was born August 30, 1956 in Davidson County to Curtis Edwin Leonard and Judith Beck Leonard.  He retired from the NC Railroad where he was a conductor and was a member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ.  His wife, Joy Brace Leonard, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Livengood and husband, Daniel, of Lexington; his sister, Susan Buffkin and life partner, Jeff Flowers, of Lexington; his nephew, Jason Buffkin of Asheville; and his grandchildren, Christian, Serenity, Lillian, and Presley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, 718 N. Trade St, Winston-Salem NC 27101.
