Eddie Ray Berrier

Eddie Ray Berrier, 71, of S. NC Highway 150, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at his home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Smith Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Terry Smith and James Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home. Mr. Berrier was born November 19, 1943, in Davidson County, to Lewie Berrier and Flora Grubb Berrier. He was retired from National Starch and Chemical Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Jan Berrier. Surviving are his loving wife, Judy Elaine Hunt Berrier of the home; daughter, Michele Ray Berrier of Lexington; grandchildren, Taylor Poole and Gracie Nelson; brothers, Ellis Berrier and wife Mary Alice, Randall Berrier and wife Carolyn, and Billy Berrier and wife Cathy, all of Lexington; sisters, Virginia Odom and husband the Rev. Robert Odom, Edith Wallace and husband Danny, all of Welcome, and Evelyn Hunt and husband Clyde of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rowan, 720 Grove St, Salisbury, NC 28144.
