Edith Beck

Edith Ellen Landmark Beck, age 87, of Lexington passed away peacefully Friday, October 6, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall at 3799 Old Lexington Road Winston Salem, NC 27107 per Edith’s request.   The family will greet friends following the service.   Edie was born on October 23, 1929 in Staten Island, NY to Clarence Landmark and Edith Emily Landmark. Edith was retired from BCBS, was a loving mother and grandmother, truly loved birds, and was known for her dancing. She will be in our hearts forevermore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother; one sister; and a granddaughter, Donna.   Surviving are her loving daughters, Christine Greenfield (George) of Sonora, CA, Carol Essick (Joel) of Winston Salem, and Pam Beck-Worden (Wes) of Tega Cay, SC; seven grandchildren, Marshall, Josh, Kelly, Cara, Jeremy, Stephanie, and Ryan; seven great grandchildren, Brittany, Kaiden, Elle, Riley, Ansley, Dylan, Jackson, and Jameson; one great great grandson, Braxton; and a host of nieces and nephews.   Memorials may be directed to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103.   Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
