Edith Shelton Essick

Edith Shelton Essick was born May 23, 1932 in Madison County. She left this world to be with the Lord on 09/07/2021.

Mrs. Essick was preceded in death by her parents; John and Elizabeth Shelton; sisters, Helen Worley and Lona Shelton; and brothers, Harlon, Simon, George, Everett and Troy Shelton.

Surviving her are her husband, John P. Essick of the home, and four children; Dwayne Essick, Phillip Essick and his spouse, Jackie, Michael Essick (all of Davidson County NC), and Sharon Essick of Pender County NC; grandchildren Hannah Essick of Lexington, NC, John Essick and his spouse, Becca; and soon to arrive a great-granddaughter, Lanie Emilia Essick of Winston-Salem NC.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday 9-11-2021 at Lexington City Cemetery. The family will see family and friends one hour prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home.
