Edmon Max Laws, 74, of Robert Street Lexington, died Monday at The Brian Center Nursing Center in Lexington.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Center Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Brian Alexander officiating. Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park at a later date.
Mr. Laws was born July 15, 1940, in Swain County, to Ralph Lonzo Laws and Gladys Burnette Laws. He was retired from Lucia Corp. and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. His wife, Patty Craver Laws, and a brother, Eulas Laws preceded him in death.
Surviving is a son, Edmon Scott Laws and wife Sharon, of Lexington; three brothers, Luther Laws of Linwood, Leslie Laws and wife Helen of Salisbury and Jim Laws of Kentucky; four sisters, Brenda Hoskins and husband Butch of Florida, Sue Watson and husband Bill of Lexington, Jerlean Simmons and husband Charles of Lexington and Debbie Bland husband Danny of Thomasville; and two grandchildren, Madison Laws and Cade Laws.
