Edna Berrier Hester Fletcher

Mrs. Edna Berrier Hester Fletcher, age 91 of Union Grove Church Road, Lexington, NC went to be with Jesus on Friday, January 26 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 30 at Union Grove Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Ken Harris, Pastor T. W. Bailey and Dr. Harold Fletcher.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 29 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel Mrs. Fletcher was born July 21, 1926 in Davidson County to Marshall C. Berrier and Beulah Mae Byerly Berrier.  She was a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she taught the 4 year old Sunday School Class and sang in the Choir until October 2017 when she fell and broke her shoulder.  She was a faithful servant of God, and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She worked in furniture factories for 35 years.  She graduated from Arcadia High School in 1944. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest E Hester, who died in 2010, by an infant son, Roger Dale Hester, by a brother Robert Berrier, a sister Pat Louya and her husband Johnny, by a brother-in-law, Archie Weaver. She is survived by her husband Oscar Fletcher of the home; daughters, Brenda Pugh and husband Virril , Janie Berrier and husband Paul, and Bonnie Fulk and husband Roger all of Lexington; son, David Hester  and wife Betty of Lexington; step-daughters Sharon Stifler and husband Mike, Barbara Gahler and husband Mark all of Florida, Linda Beaver of Maryland; sister, Sue Weaver of Lexington;  grandchildren, Chris, Sheryl, James, Michelle, Joseph, Hannah and Chad; 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, many step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks to the Hinkle Hospice House and all the staff for taking such good care of our Mom.  Also a special thanks to all who have prayed for our mother.
