Edna Myers Crews, 78 of Odell Owen Road, Lexington died Sunday afternoon at High Point Regional Hospital after declining health of one month.
Mrs. Crews was born June 28th, 1928 in Davidson County to Levitte Myers and Gertrude Link Myers. She formerly worked as a seamstress for Manhattan Shirt Company. Mrs. Crews attended Open Door Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Fritts Crews who passed away in 1988. She was also preceded by brothers Jack Myers, Coley Myers, and a sister Peggy Norman.
Surviving are a son Dan Crews and wife Kathy of Lexington, a daughter Jill Crews of Cherokee, NC; sisters Ann Cude; Jo Newsome; and Inez Graves and husband Irvin all of Lexington; sister-in-laws Christine Myers, Mae Myers, Ruby Torrence, and Elizabeth Dole all of Lexington; grandchildren Joshua Crews, Joanna Cole, Amy Williamson, and Matthew Cooley; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00AM Wednesday (1-31-07)at Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Gary Gibson. Burial will follow in the Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Wednesday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at 414 Country Club Boulevard; Lexington.
