Edna Michael

Edna Richardson Michael, 69, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023, in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Pastor Henry Watterson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Michael was born on October 31, 1953, in Ashe County to James “Buster” Richardson and Pauline Fowler Richardson. She retired from Martin-Marietta, having served as the Financial Manager for 30 years, and was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Volree Richardson Johnston; and a brother-in-law, Sammy Freeman.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bobby Gray Michael, Jr.; her son, Andy Miller (Kimberly); her daughter, Christi Michael Woods (Stephen); two brothers, Jim Richardson (Betty), and Kenneth Richardson (Robin); a sister, Debra Richardson Freeman; three grandchildren, Daniel Hemric (Kenzie), Bryson Miller, and Savannah Miller; two great-grandchildren, Rhen Hemric, and Ruston Hemric; and her precious K9 companion, Buster.
