Edna Johnson Odom, 81 of Arcadia Lane, Lexington died Friday night at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem.
Edna was born May 1, 1924 in Davidson County to Luther Odell Johnson, Sr. and Effie Mae Wood Johnson. She was a volunteer with Davidson County Senior Services
and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Odell and Bill Johnson, sisters Mary Metters and Helen Fritts and her husband Paul Exander Odom, Sr., who passed away on February 24, 2004, to whom she was married to for 64 years.
Surviving are; sons Paul E. Odom, Jr. wife Linda of Emery, South Dakota, Luther Odom, Sr. and wife Judy of Denton; Calvin Odom and wife Susan of Lexington and Randall Odom wife Susan of Louisville, TN; daughter, Jean Leonard and husband Joe of Midway; grandchildren Paul Odom, III, Joe Leonard, Jr., Randy Odom, Jr., Frankie Odom, Devin Odom, Jonathan Odom, Cindy Greenway, Amber Odom and Lawana Odom and eleven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Bethany United Church of Christ counducted by Rev. Jay Whitley. Burial will follow in the Bethany United Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and at other times at the home of son Calvin Odom, 679 Mill Stream Lane, Lexington.
