Edna Stutts Sheets, 82, of Fairview Drive, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. Dr. Ray Howell III and Tommy Wilson. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sheets was born in Davidson County on Oct. 3, 1923, to Archie Lee Stutts and Opal Mae Bates Stutts. She was a homemaker. At her church, she taught Sunday school for 51 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Patricia "Patti" Delsky, on Dec. 27, 2000.
Surviving are her husband, Tom G. Sheets of the home; a son, Eddie Sheets and his wife, Sandee, of Lexington; a brother, Bill Stutts of Oak Island; three grandchildren, Stephen Sheets and his wife, Wendy, Matthew Sheets and Paulina Sheets; and a great-grandson, Ethan Thomas Sheets.
