Edna Mae Everhart Weisner, 79, of Ridge Road, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Bethesda United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Doug Hochmuth. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Weisner was born December 1, 1928, in Davidson County, to Grady Odell Everhart and Ellen Beck Everhart. She was cafeteria manager at Welcome Elementary School before her retirement. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Milton Weisner on January 7, 2007; a brother, Rondall Everhart; and brother-in-law, Bobby Townsend.
Surviving are a son, David Weisner and wife, Wanda, of Charlotte; daughters, Barbara Flynt of Thomasville and Karen Stone and husband, Barron, of Lexington; grandchildren, Joy Hyde and husband Mark of Oxford and Dana Flynt of Raleigh; great-grandchild, Ryan Hyde of Oxford; brothers, Charles Everhart and wife, Sue, of Lexington, and Jimmy Everhart and wife, Debbie, of Thomasville; sisters, Lois Townsend, Florence Kearns, and Brenda Flowers and husband, David, all of Lexington; and sister-in-law, Doris Everhart of Salisbury.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home on Ridge Road.
