Edna Wrenn Worley, 82, of Highway 47, died Monday, August 18, 2008, at her home following a two week illness.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Center Hill Baptist Church, where she was a lifetime member, by the Rev. Brian Alexander. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Worley was born April 12, 1926, in Davidson County, to Cicero Wrenn and Sarah Belle Staley Wrenn. She was retired from Mid State Tile. She married George Worley who preceded her in death in 1969. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Odell Wrenn and Richard “Bud” Wrenn; and sisters, Ruth Elliott and Mabel Horton.
Surviving are her sister, Ruby Owen of Lexington; nephews, Barry Wrenn and wife, Wendy, of Lexington and Tom Horton and wife, Viva, of Michigan; nieces, Jessie Troutman and husband, Lafe, of Michigan, Linda Wilson and husband, Rick, of Indian Trail, and Cindy Wilborn of Roxboro; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
