Edward Michael Barry

Edward Michael Barry, 72, of Serenity Lane, died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at High Point Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, at First Alliance Church with Pastor Paul Titus officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home on Serenity Lane. Mr. Barry was born January 30, 1940, in Norwalk, Conn., to John Joseph Barry and Grace MacGregor Barry. He was a retired plumber and of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, John Barry, Thomas Barry and Joseph Barry. Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia McGuinness Barry of the home; son, Michael Barry and wife, Tina, of Lexington; daughter, Colleen Avnayim and husband, Gary, of Denver, NC; grandchildren and love of his life, Justin Barry, Allysa Barry; brother, Richard Barry Sr. of Conn.; sister, Evelyn Sorrell of Conn.; brother-in-law, Thomas McGuinness of Arizona; sister-in-law, Barbara Barry of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
