Edward Adam Doulin, age 77, of White Street Lexington passed away at his home. A Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday February 24, 2012 at Union Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Darrell Thomas and burial to follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The visitation will be 1:30 until 2pm prior to the service. At other times the family will be at 157 Adam Court, Lexington.
Mr. Doulin was born in June 24, 1934 in Davie County to John Thomas Doulin and Esther Chaplin Doulin. He was a retired mechanic with Billings Freight and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He honorably served his country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, James and William Doulin; sister’s Marion Rucker and Queen Jordan; and a son-in-law, William Murphy.
Surviving are his daughters, Alethea “Lisa” Scott and husband Victor Louis Scott, Sr. of Kernesville, Tama Smith Murphy of Greensboro; Son, James Edward McNeir of Lexington; Step-daughter, Rena S. Mason and husband Herbert of Lexington; Step-Son, Michael L. Smith and wife Stephanie of Maryland; 13 Grandchildren; Brothers, Cathell Doulin and wife Gwendolyn of Lexington and Garfield Doulin and wife Frankie of Winston Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and his loving second family at Bill’s Truck Stop.
