Edward "Ed" Peter Ames, Jr.

Edward “Ed” Ames, Jr., 61, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Ken Harris, T. W. Bailey and Rev. Dr. Harold Fletcher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Ed was born in Warren County, NJ on July 20, 1953 to Edward and MaryLou Wolf Ames. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where he was active with the church and school activities. He served in the US Army and was a lifetime member of VFW 3074 and worked at Atrium Windows and Doors. He was also preceded in death by his father and a grand-daughter, Brittani Ames. Surviving is his wife Patricia Pugh Ames of the home, two daughters, Sonya Potter (Kelly) of Louisville, KY, April Brewer (Matt) of Wallburg; his mother, MaryLou Wolf Ames of NJ; three brothers, David Ames (JoAnn) of NJ, Terry Ames (Brenda) of MINN, Michael Ames (Jamie) of FL; one sister, Melissa Diclementi of NJ; two grandchildren, Steven Ames, Abby Estep; one great-grandchild, Brittani Ames.
